We’re excited to share Stories that Matter, a video series highlighting local businesses, organizations, and individuals who are striving to help their community through this pandemic.
Our second installment features local restaurant owners in the Baton Rouge area. After surviving floods and hurricanes, it was time to tackle the challenges of a global pandemic.
To stay afloat during the stay at home orders, restaurant owners everywhere needed to pivot quickly and overcome “an experiment that no one could have predicted…”
Despite the economic uncertainty, restaurants refused to give up because what they do is more about feeding people, it’s about cultivating community.
“We do more than just serve food, we nurture people.”

A big thank you to our participating restaurants:
Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Cuisine
Stab’s Prime Steak and Seafood
Ooh Dat Sport’s Bar and Grill
Let’s give back to those who serve us.
Stories that Matter is a video series highlighting local businesses, organizations, and individuals who are striving to help their community through this pandemic. We want to share creative problem solving, shed light on neighbors helping neighbors, and lift up those who are refusing to give up despite the economic and social struggles.
Much like the impetus behind shows such as John Krasinski’s “Some Good News,” we want to produce and share good video content to help our local community in the unique way that video can.
If you’d like to nominate a business, organization, or group of individuals for Stories that Matter, contact us and tell us about their story!
