(Baton Rouge, La.) – Baton Rouge Business Report announced Launch Media’s president and executive producer, John Jackson, as, “Young Business Person of the Year” for 2015. Jackson’s influence over the greater Baton Rouge area is evident through Launch Media’s continued growth, as well as the company’s new downtown location in the Creative Bloc. Jackson opened the Creative Bloc, a collaborative workspace for visual and creative professionals, in December of 2014. During this time, Jackson continued his efforts and support of the local non-profit community. Regarding the receipt of this distinguished award, he credits others for his success.
“I’m honored and consider myself lucky to go to work everyday with the talented team that we have at Launch. My name might be on this award, but it’s really a team effort,” said Jackson.
Ragley native, John E. Jackson, has over a decade of experience in video production, both at the local and national levels. His company has received numerous industry accolades including five National Telly awards, honored as one of the LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses in 2013 and 2014, as well as top honors in various festivals and recognition ceremonies across the region.
Jackson is not the only person at Launch to have received this award. Partner & Coordinating Producer, Michael Trufant, received this award in 1990 as President and General Manager of Cellular One.
